Financial Planner

Jeffrey B. Yamada advises clients in financial planning, expert witness engagements and portfolio management strategies. Employing his extensive experience in compliance, securities information systems and operations, Jeff has also enhanced client services through streamlined client reporting and improved internal processes. In 2007, Jeff earned the Certified Financial Planner^®; designation.

While in Los Angeles, Jeff was chief compliance officer and director of operations for Bradford & Marzec, Inc., a fee-only institutional fixed-income investment advisor. He was also director of operations with Post Advisory Group, LLC, a high-yield bond and distressed-debt investment advisor and hedge fund manager. Jeff began his career at the global headquarters of Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) in Zurich and then spent five years in the firm's North American headquarters in New York City.

Jeff earned his MBA in international finance from St. John's University in New York in 1994. He received a B.A. in international business and German at California State University, Fullerton, in 1989.

Jeff volunteered at the Foothill Family Shelter for homeless families, and he and his wife served three years as Peace Corps volunteers in a Carib Amerindian rainforest village in Suriname, South America.

Married with three young children, Jeff enjoys biking to work and being a dad. An avid traveler, he is fluent in German and Surinamese and has studied French and Dutch.
